I've been following this game for years at it seems it's just never going to materialize in the west. It looked good when it was first teased and released in Asia, there's been an engine upgrade that should be forward compatible with new hardware in years to come, it offers a blend of both third-person action and RTS combat, has very deep systems and a bit of painful eastern RNG blended in a good way that should satisfy most players, and it seemed to have a real story behind it. All that with raids & dungeons, a different take on PvP, and actual social hubs should have made this a solid contender for being able to gather a stable population. But it never made it here.Currently it's only come so far as Russia and I can't get any solid updates on what's going on with the release there.

The first video I'm posting is being played through that version of the game, but this is the only detailed playing experience that seems to have come out from an English-speaking content creator. There are lots of multi-hour streams up in Russian and the publisher has had huge promotional events at gaming cons, yet it seems like this might be as close as it ever gets to a European and NA release. Really sad that so much potential will be going to waste. It's not perfect, but it would have been nice to see something that offered a different blend of MMO elements actually succeed in a way that pushed the genre.

Admittedly partly because PSO2 is coming out in the West after 7 years, was like; wonder if the game I've had my screensaver for genuinely about 10 years has had any news.​It really does seem to just effectively be dead as a franchise now, which is a real shame. War of Heroes was good for what it is, then Crusaders and Heroes still stand as my favourite games of all time. The world is one of my favourite fantasy world lores in general and it just mixed it's mechanics together so well that even as an MMO I still want to at least experience this thing to get a taste of some KUF gameplay in a new format (but not enough to piss about with the other versions, can't get solid info on them anyway).
