Mad Father is an exploration-based horror-adventure game, created by Japanese developer sen. As Aya, the main character, explore your family’s sprawling manor while.

I do not mind paying for it, it is a nice play (♥♥♥♥ that zombie you need to trap in the room, HATED THAT THING)It is enjoyable, I like the story, I found it very sweet so supporting the maker of it I am happy to doEdit: Taken from the newsDifferences to the original free version:・Improved map tiles・Some of the art has been redrawn・Some of the unique elements have been changed.・Improved playability (1. If you stand next to an event, a question mark bubble will appear above the character. Items will glitter to make them easier to spot.)・New events (1. Ines’ past revealed.

New dialogue.)・Some gems have been relocated.・ATE mini games have changed from rapid input to command input.・Some changes to the game’s music (1. New music inside the mansion. Second floor basement music is changed.). I kinda like to have these games appearing on steam after their notoriety as freeware games. I know the plot already,so i know i'm gonna re-enjoy it.And at that point the wonder of 'what could the devs do new and/or change in this game,to make it appealing once again, and for a purchase?' I'm only one hour into the game, but i've seen the house layout has been revamped, some things are totally new, and the quick time based interactions are been modified,so instead of mashing a button you press a series of keys, which keeps the tension high anyway.I feel like i've heard different sound effects (but honestly i'd need to check back the free version, because it's been so long ago since i last played it),and i've read around about new track(s)b/.?

(which is reasonable, considering not everything could have been used for the commercial version)Again,to me revamping in a good way a videogame that had its period of fame (thanks to youtube as well) can be worth the cost of a commercial version to support the devs. And since i purchased the game,i feel in the position to say that something fels.funny?regarding the artwork. And by artwork i mean Aya's face.I felt something was different about the lovely lil girl,so i looked up screenshots.this is a screenshot from the previous version:and this is a screenshot i took at the beginning of the game on this steam updated version:I mean. XD (still wanna pinch her cheeks thou:3 ).

Basically:Overhauled graphicsA few new scenesMore interactable stuffSlightly better translationAchievements (once they're fixed)More musicAs well as one thing I wish they'd left out.Dr. Drevis' wonderfully creepy 'Ayaaaa doko ni iru no kana?' From the free version got replaced with a dorky 'Aya.I gonna get you.' In this version, which just made me cringe. I get that they wanted an English voice for him, but.jeez. (Oddly, his other English lines aren't quite that bad.'

Found you, Aya' is genuinely creepy. I still prefer that they'd kept the Japanese voice even for that though.). I get that they wanted an English voice for him, but.jeez.Yeah I wish the original was left in, it was much creepier and fitting instead of this cliche one. What really bugs me is that he clearly says 'I gonna get you', not even 'I'm gonna get you'. There is no way Dr.

Drevis would ever speak like that.Seriously though, why dub him? His Japanese voice was glorious.

Bring that back and ditch the random English dub. Originally posted by:Yeah I wish the original was left in, it was much creepier and fitting instead of this cliche one.

Bring that back and ditch the random English dub. It's bad.I sense a petition:PSeriously, many games never needed voice translating as long as there were subs, many English gamers don't mind the subs with japan-voices as they sound more fitting. Added so you can tell what you can interact withIt's brighter? GUYS THE ENDING TRUE ENDING HAS CHANGED. There is one MAJOR STORY DIFFERENCE I JUST DISCOVERED. (i don't know if you need 21 gems to see this scene.) After the credits roll before the test tube scene with the clone aya we have a brand new scene in which future aya picks up a doll and says a single important line that alters the game's ending meaning. Is Aya truly evil??? Or is she actually good?

Well this 3.0 version FINALLY ANSWERS THE QUESTION THAT WE HAD 4 YEARS AGO. I'm satisfied. Some of you may be some of you may not be and liked the more ambiguious ending.
