Wanted preemptive feedback on this one, seems like the concept may be really commonThe SCP is a large picture frame found in a dilapidated building in New York City. In the frame is a plate of metal.

When in the presence of only one person (cameras and other methods of indirect observation included) and no natural light source, the plate shows images of an end-of-the-world scenario. These situations vary from person to person but all correspond to a scenario derived from human culture, including the Rapture as described by Christian groups, Ragnarok from Norse myth, zombie plagues, and the Big Crunch. After seeing the event the viewer may obsess over the scenario viewed and believe the event is imminent. The frame's effect becomes more compelling as more time is spent viewing it. Repeated viewing leads to periods of unconsciousness wherein the viewer experiences their vision of the end as though they were there. After more exposure viewers fall into a coma. I wasn't clear when I said Thing.

I meant to communicate that there was an overarching theme to it- those folks that dedicate themselves to warning others that The End is Nigh.Additionally I think I would argue against it being a 'stock apocalypse thing'. It's not causing any apocalypses, it's just showing pictures of them. Midtown madness 3 pc game free download full version.

I can understand why a compulsion effect might be trite at this point, though.I did consider your idea about the entity though, and have yet to hit upon a good motivation for anything wanting to make people obsess over the end of the world. Possible motivations:1) Entity is attempting to warn humanity about something, failing due to massive issues in communication.

It's trying to prepare us for something but it can't figure out how to tell us what's coming our way in a way we can understand.2) Entity is, effectively, a manifestation of The End Is Nigh - Not the end of the world itself, but that panic and paranoia, that creeping dread and unshakable despair and sense of crushing doom. It wishes to spread, grow stronger, solidify its own existence. An old shapeless god from the dawn of everything, one of those primordial soup forces of stagnation and fear. Change scares it. Hope weakens it. The actual end of the world would be disastrous for it.Man, I just went full Lovecraft here. Or Anti-Spiral.

Not sure which. And yes, they are still stock apocalypses. Doesn't matter if it's causing them or just making people think that they're happening, you are using the stock apocalypses in there. Stock apocalypses by themselves are boring. Mix it up.Also, the item, like I said before, doesn't feel like a particularly good choice. It's a picture frame that shows you things.
