A shower scene in with Ellen Page's character in the next-gen game 'Beyond: Two Souls' has been debugged by a 'hacker' to show the actress' digital-self naked. Sony Computer Entertainment hasn't confirmed that the images that surfaced on Reddit are the actual likeness of Page's nude body, but the tech company released a statement about the 'debugged' photos.

Beyond: Two Souls (PS3), Sony has reportedly begun requesting that websites remove any content related to the images.The images first showed up on earlier this month, but the original imgur album containing them has since been emptied. Page's character, Jodie Holmes, takes a shower at one point in the game, though no nudity can be seen when the game is played. However, according to, alternate camera angles of the scene can be accessed through the game's debug menu - something which can't be reached through normal play on a regular PlayStation 3 system.

Since then, and have reported that Sony PR has requested the images be removed from websites hosting them and stated that the in-game model is not actually the body of Page. 'The images are from an illegally hacked console and is very damaging for Ellen Page,' reads a Sony statement shared with Cinema Blend. 'It's not actually her body. I would really appreciate if you can take the story down to end the cycle of discussion around this.' This situation is reminiscent of a glitch discovered in Beyond developer Quantic Dream's previous game, Heavy Rain.

Under certain circumstances, one of the game's female characters, Madison, could be seen nude. A much more famous instance of video game content not meant for public consumption being discovered was Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas', something which resulted in the game receiving an Adults Only rating until the content - a scrapped sex mini-game - was removed by Rockstar. As it’s intended, the scene portrays the virtual model in a shower scene that could be considered PC-13 at most since we see the character’s naked back from an angle that shows the side of her chest.

So you’re probably wondering how virtual photos of Ellen Page nude got leaked onto the internet. Apparently, someone got hold of a developer version of the PlayStation 3 that allows special quality assurance (QA) features like debug mode. One option is called “free camera” which allows the positioning of the camera to be changed so that the shower scene can be viewed from any angle.

What this means is that the average gamer can’t see the virtual Ellen Page nude at all. It’s not possible with a normal PS3. But that isn’t stopping Sony from asking everyone to stop talking about the story:
