State of Mind is a 2018 graphic adventure game developed and published by Daedalic Entertainment.A cyberpunk story set in the near future, the game explores transhumanist themes. The main character in the game, Richard Nolan, is voiced by Doug Cockle, most notable for being the voice actor of Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher video-game series.

The Story

State of Mind is a sci-fi adventure game that takes place in a futuristic Berlin in the year 2048. Humans are being replaced with drones and humanoid robots in public areas. A digital utopia where humans can live in a simulated life is being experimented on and that has caused much drama in the real world. Players take on the role of Richard Nolan who wakes up in a hospital after an explosive accident and finds that his wife and son are now missing. He must find clues to the mysteries behind their disappearance and along the way he will unravel more about the digital world that he so opposes.
