The AI was very predictable, but beating it wasn't trivial.

Take over the world in this game of strategy conquest! Features updated figures! Improved Mission cards speed up the game! Detective story lee grant. Rich and compelling.

When I played (as a postdoc at Caltech), I was the only person I knew who claimed to be able to beat the computer on Level 15; I could only win 1/3 of the time, and it took days (actual days, not Strategic Conquest days) to build up an arsenal sufficient to win. The real question, for strategy games is.

Alan Wake is a game with gameplay that is rarely expierenced today. The replay value alone is amazing each playtrough you discover something new. This game deserves 5/5 stars easily and is one of the best games I have ever played. Alan wake american nightmare xbox one.

How do you make a good strategy game for a device that has poor battery life?(note: the problem is that the battery life is not great, and the primary use is as a phone so remaining battery life is more important than playing a mere game.).Are there already some good strategy games out there which are a) Good AIs, b) Good multiplayer turn based?Taking it to an extreme that few may understand, Tradewars came to mind. Now, not thinking a full text based version or anything, but the fact was many people played it and you only made moves every day or so. Originally posted by Demani:Spaceward Ho! - turn based, with a check in system, AI was sufficiently crushing that it wasn't an issue, and the interface would be fine on a touchscreen.Really, some of those old games that were playable on an SE/30 would work pretty well- the screen size is close enough that not too much would need to be rejiggered drastically, and many of the scale issues have already been worked out.Due to the platform differences there's a lot of work involved regardless of any screen size issues. THose are pretty much the least of it.

Well I liked SC even if it didn't have the best AI. The reason I brought it up is that there used to be source code for the basic engine around the net way back in the 90's. My understanding is that SC was an expansion on that source code (adding things like planes). But if the source was still available somewhere then whipping out an iPhone front end to the engine shouldn't be that hard.As to why to play. I don't know. It's a Zen thing.

Game

My Dad still plays SC religiously to relax. I prefer doing the same thing on Age of Empires III or the old Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds which was based off the AoE II engine as I recall. In any case I'd love to see one of these sorts of games for the iPhone.

BestStrategy and Simulation Games on Xbox OneWindows Central 2020Strategy and simulator games are wildly popular on PC, and they're starting to creep up in popularity on Xbox One, too. Many strategy games fare better with a mouse-and-keyboard control scheme, but more and more developers are finding new and innovative ways to make more complex games play well with controllers. Whether your desire is to command huge armies of space marines against roaming aliens, or build your own city from scratch, Xbox should have you covered. Cities: Skylines is one of the most addictive, relaxing, and therapeutic simulation games ever made.

Featuring great gamepad controls and vibrant visuals, Cities: Skylines allows you to construct the metropolis of your dreams. Manage industry types, infrastructure, energy economy, and much more, with tons of post-launch support and expansion packs. When I want to chill, has been my go-to game in the past. The relaxing, therapeutic Martian construction sim is great for exercising your creativity, while also challenging your strategic brain to cleverly manage resources.

Is another favorite, for its engaging atmosphere, fun combat, and great dialogue. However, is arguably the best strategy game on this list, though, granting potentially hundreds of hours of gameplay you can really sink your teeth into.
